The Great Hall of Grand Trianon in Versailles, Paris.
Visiting le château de Versailles was one of my memories of Paris. I remember laughing a lot and fighting over the objects in the room - evn if Jane did claim the view out the window and I claimed a staircase or two.

Whilst at home with my family over Easter, I spent the day at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park with my parents. We spent the day there walking around the lake and laughing at what we would (rudely) rename the sculptures and trying to avoid the rain.
I laughed a lot. It was a good day.
One of my favourites works was incredibly simple but equally lovely. Propagator by Alec Finlay is a greenhouse containing plant pots from which sprout mesostic poems based on the names of flora found at the Sculpture Park. I love the idea and spent a while inside (avoiding the rain) reading all the little pots.

This night, last year.
Time… where has it gone to?!
In this moment, now, capture it, remember it <3
‘Cause I don’t know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me head first. Fearless!
And I don’t know why but with you I’d dance
In a storm in my best dress. Fearless!

The Pine Forest (part of the National Park) where we carried out our field work. Not a bad place, is it? x

Tea for Two with my friend Eva at The House of Avalon.
GAH
I was so not emotionally prepared for leaving party photos today.
Bawling my eyes out.
How to remember how much you love your best friend … make her cry. Oh fire truck!
